South Carolina/Georgia Liscences

Okay people, I am wanting to hunt this weekend at a place I found on Clarks Hill, I went to the map and looked, and it is on the Georgia side. If we pull up and anchor in the middle of this place, never touching the Georgia side, do we still have to have a Georgia lisecnce, or will our South Carolina lisecences be okay?

The channel markers are the boundry. You can not cross without the lisence. I shot a mallard a few years back on hartwell that by the time i got to it had floaded across the line. I had seen a white cc sitting over on the georgia side but didnt pay it any attention. Rode over in the boat and picked up the duck and saw the boat headed my way. I stopped thinking they just wanted to see what i had shot and the gw told me that i had broke the law by going across state line to retrieve it even though i did not even have my gun with me. Needless to say i was sent on my way without my mallard. I even asked him if it was more ethical to leave the duck than cross a stupid imaginary line to retrieve it. It wasnt like i was hunting on the ga side it just went that way with the wind. He let me go without any ticket or anything but it did suck to lose the meat. Go buy a 3 day ga liscence they are cheep. Then go over there and hunt. Just my .02
